The Artist
Brendan Woytowich is an emerging contemporary sculptor currently residing in Vernon BC. He primarily uses traditional surfboard building techniques to modify foam, fibreglass and resin, to shape surfboards into natural and unnatural shapes. The surfboards are sculpted to elegant, abstract forms that explore the relationship between a once useful object into a thoughtful experience. His works invites viewers to engage with their own perception of how the sculpture conforms to the world around them.
